Danish Biochemist turned to computers.

Ever since I was a little kid, I have been interested in nature, exploring all sorts of things I could find 'outside', reading books about birds, watching David Attenborough on TV. I wanted to become a biologist, but ended becoming first a biochemist and then a bioinformatician.

I am on my second Postdoctoral Fellowship - this time at the Molecular Microbiology Ecology Group at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Here I am involved in sequencing, assembly, and annotation of prokaryotic genomes and meta-transcriptomes.
