One of the methods for virtual memory protection is using a register of accessible pages for every active process. How many bits should the length of this register be, considering:

  • physical memory addressing with a 32-bit address

  • page size = 8KB ?

I think the length has something to do with the total amount of virtual pages, but I can't seem to calculate that without the Virtual Address?

Note: this is a question from a non-English textbook. I tried to translate the question as best as I could.
