If $L(R_1) \subseteq L(R_2) \subseteq L(R_3)$ then $L(R_1)^* \subseteq L(R_2)^* \subseteq L(R_3)^*$. Does this also imply that $L(R_1)^* \subseteq L(R_3)$?
