I am not getting the meaning of algorithm fairness. Consider the RAM model, quicksort, mergesort, all pair shortest algorithms they all are not biased as per my understanding.

Please provide a definition of algorithm fairness or refer me to some resource. I have search it in the google and have obtained some answers from an article but I am looking for some book or paper where the definition is described.

ACM, New York, NY, USA, 7 pp. : " Algorithm fairness has started to attract the attention of researchers in AI, Software Engineering and Law communities, with more than twenty different notions of fairness proposed in the last few years ..." $\endgroup$

$\begingroup$ You must tell us where you heard of algorithm fairness. This is not a common concept. $\endgroup$ Jul 30 at 15:25
