I am enthusiastic about developing software that will be useful to others. I feel satisfied when I know that a project I worked on is being used by people to ease the way in which they do their work. This prompted me to undertake a masters programme in Software Development. The programme improved my already existing knowledge on the development of desktop applications and web applications as well as introduced me to modern software development practices. I learnt that it is not just fine to build something that works but it is also important that applications are built with software development principles of efficiency, re-usability, maintainability and reliability in mind. I worked with other students during the course of the programme on different projects and my team won the Bronze award in a project developed in one of the courses.
